Faith was born into the Orthodox Faith. Her father, an Orthodox priest, was deeply involved in missionary work in the U.S. with the Western Rite Anticochian church for seven years. When her family returned to the Russian church, in which she had been raised, she struggled on and off for some years with the language barrier, especially within the services. Eventually, however she discovered how beautiful Church Slavonic is, while maintaining the importance of services being served in her own native language. Through her parents, she became deeply involved in the church. After the death of her mother in 1996, she began to find her place in the church. She began singing in the choir, and assisting the choir with liturgical rubrics. Her extensive knowledge of the services of the church year has allowed her to develop a relationship with the Liturgical life. She now experiences the Feasts as living events, happening right here, now, today. She hopes to share this love of the Church year with the people of Albania, to share the Feasts of the Church as living events.
