Health Care – Bukoba
Offer health care as part of a holistic outreach of the Church of Tanzania, by ministering to the physical and spiritual needs of individuals in western Tanzania.
The 2013 OCMC Health Care Team to Tanzania has been invited to the Resurrection Health Centre in Bukoba by His Eminence Metropolitan JERONYMOS. While health care in Tanzania has improved over the last two decades, many people do not have easy access to basic health care services and this is part of a long term health care vision of the Metropolis of Mwanza. This Team partners with the local Church to offer a holistic ministry to bring physical relief to individuals as an outpouring of Christian love.
An added advantage of the Team serving at the health centre will be that sustained care and treatment will be provided to the patients, even after the Team's departure. Team members will care for individuals with malaria, pneumonia, diarrhea, stress related illnesses, ulcers, skin diseases, diabetes, eye problems, STD’s, TB, secondary infections from AIDS and other tropical diseases. This Team will work with staff from the newly established Resurrection Health Centre in Bukoba to affect the lives and health of Tanzanians.
Medical professionals can give the gift of hope by volunteering their time and talents. Join this Team and become a witness of Christ’s concern for both the spiritual and physical. Health care professionals – doctors, pharmacists, nurses, dentists, health care students, specialists and other medical personnel – are needed.
Become a part of the holistic health care ministry of the Orthodox Church in Tanzania.
