By giving of themselves to help ease the pain of poverty, hunger, and disease for people around the world, Agape Canister Partners are truly working miracles. You can work miracles too. All it takes is caring enough to spend a few minutes a month doing one of the most important volunteer jobs in the Orthodox Church.
The Agape Canister Program is an Orthodox non-profit development program of the Orthodox Christian Mission Center. It is dedicated to meeting the needs of children, families, and communities throughout the world, regardless of race, color, or creed.
All funds collected by the Agape Canister Program are earmarked for medical care and clinics, water wells, agricultural development, food and clothing, support personnel (e.g. doctors, nurses, teachers), the construction of schools, and the education of indigenous people in their own communities. What our Agape Canister Partners Do
You agree to place a few canisters in cooperating neighborhood businesses, restaurants, stores, gas stations, or mini-markets, near their cash registers. Then, on a regular basis, you collect the money that others have contributed and send it to the Orthodox Christian Mission Center, along with your monthly report form.
What Does It Take To Be An Agape Partner?
Compassion, commitment, and a few minutes of your time. Agape Canister Partners include retired people, business people, homemakers, Sunday school classes, college students, professionals, teenagers, men's groups and ladies' societies. It is also a wonderful way to teach children the Christian responsibility of helping others by sharing blessings with those less fortunate.
