RSS Feeds
Orthodox mission news and ministry opportunities can syndicated on your website when you subscribe to OCMC RSS (Really Simple Syndication) Feeds. Subscribing to OCMC RSS feeds will provide members of your community with access to the latest in Orthodox missions directly from your website.
Please use the instructions below to add Orthodox mission news and ministry feeds to your website, personal home page (Google, Yahoo, or AOL), and social networking profile.

To Add an OCMC RSS Feed to FaceBook
- Sign in to Facebook's home page using the email address you registered with.
- Follow the "My Notes" link from the navigational menu. If you have already entered notes on your page, then they will load for you to preview or edit.
- Select the "Import Blog" or "Edit Import Settings" link in the Notes Setting section. If you are already importing from a blog/RSS feed, the URL will appear here. You can only import from 1 source at a time. Simply "Stop Importing" if you want to change to an RSS feed.
- Enter the URL for the RSS feed in the box (see above of OCMC’s RSS URLs). Check the box next to the statement that you actually own the content. You cannot import RSS feeds from Web sites that are not your own or that you do not have permission to reproduce.
- Click the "Start Importing" button. Facebook will import the content of the RSS feed for you to preview. If everything looks good, then go ahead and hit the "Continue" button. Now your RSS feed is automatically imported into your "Notes" section.
- Set your privacy levels to determine who is allowed to view your notes, which now contain your RSS feed.
To Add an OCMC RSS Feed to MySpace
- Sign up for a Widgetbox account and a MySpace account. If you already have accounts with both companies, log onto their websites.
- Click on the "Make a Blidget" button on Widgetbox.
- Enter the URL of an OCMC RSS feed (see above of OCMC’s RSS URLs).
- Adjust the color, width and height to match the MySpace layout you have chosen. Add tags and a description to make it easier for other blidgets to find your blog. Create a title and header image to personalize the blidget. Click on "Publish Blidget."
- Select the "Add to MySpace" button. The next form asks for your MySpace email address and password. This step edits your MySpace profile for you. For security purposes, change your password before performing this step. When you've set up everything correctly, change your password again.
- Choose the location for the blidget in your MySpace profile. Click "OK."
- Copy and paste the Widgetbox blidget code that appears in your MySpace profile to move it.
