Hearers & Doers of the Word!

St. James tells us not to be just hearers of the Word, but also doers of the Word. Over the next two months, we have opportunities for you to teach the Word so that others may hear and also become doers!

Two thousand years after Christ’s commandment to preach the Good News to all nations, only 1 in 3 people in the world are Christian. You can help change these numbers by becoming a team member of an OCMC virtual team!

Six upcoming Virtual Teams offer you six good choices to put your faith into action – becoming hearers and doers of the Word. 

• Kenya Clergy Wives Retreat - Bond with the "papadhias" in the Diocese of Kisumu and discuss the role of the clergy wife. Clergy wives requested. August 7, 2021 

• Indonesia Teaching - Connect with the faithful from Singaraja, Bali on this majority Hindu island and teach about living the Orthodox life. August 20, 2021 (morning and evening) 

• Albania Home of Hope Youth – Explore our role in caring for the world that God created. August 28, 2021 

• Nigeria Catechist Retreat – Teach catechists from 21 parishes in Benue State that are part of a rapidly growing Orthodox Church. September 10, 2021 

• Nigeria Parish Retreat – Offer instruction in the basic tenants of our faith to about 100 representatives from parishes around Benue. September 17, 2021 

• Colombia Teaching – This fourth Virtual Team for Cerete will assist this new Orthodox community to learn more about Orthodoxy. Spanish speakers requested. September 26, 2021
