OCMC News - Christ is Born! Glorify Him With Your Support of Orthodox Missions in the Coming Year!
Support Missions this Christmas with a gift to the OCMC that will help us send out approximately 200 from the United States into the world to transform the lives of those in need with the Orthodox Christian Faith.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

On average, the people who serve through the OCMC impact the lives of nearly 6,000 others each year by helping the Church reach those longing for the experience of God in their lives!

Next year, nearly 200 people just like you will go and serve through Orthodox missions.

Maybe one of them will be someone you sit next to at church. Maybe it will be someone in your family. Maybe it will be you!

They are all faithful Orthodox Christians. They are people like Floyd Frantz, who has helped the Church to establish much-needed substance abuse counseling programs in three countries. These programs change the lives of hundreds of people and their families every year.

No matter who it is, they will be going as a witness of our Orthodox Christian Faith into the world to dramatically impact the life of someone in need - like those struggling with chemical dependency, or children at the St. Mark Primary School in Meru, Kenya. Next year, a team from Wichita, KS, will serve 130 orphaned children who attend this school by offering a fun-filled, faith-based camp there.

Here’s the thing…neither Floyd, the team from Wichita, nor the others called to reach those in need will be able to do so without you making the choice to pray for them and support them this Christmas…right now!

Please prayerfully consider a contribution to these efforts with a gift to the OCMC this Christmas!

In 2020, your donation of $80 can ensure that someone struggling with addiction can get the help they need; and your gift of $90 can enable an orphaned child in Kenya to attend a youth camp. These are just a couple of the things you can make possible!

For most of us, the Christmas season is one of the busiest times of year. In spite of that, I ask that you pause for a moment and remember, in prayer, those in need and those called to serve them in the coming year.

Thank you for these prayers; and thank you for your contribution in support of Orthodox missions.
May you and your loved ones be blessed this Nativity season!

Christ is Born! Glorify Him!

Prayer for Missions

God of truth and love: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Hear our prayer for those who do not know You. That they may come to a saving knowledge of the truth, and that Your Name may be praised among all peoples of the world. Sustain, inspire, and enlighten Your servants who bring them the Gospel. Bring fresh vigor to wavering faith; sustain our faith when it is still fragile. Continually renew missionary zeal in ourselves and in the Church, and raise up new missionaries who will follow You to the ends of the world. Make us witnesses to Your goodness full of love, full of strength, and full of faith for Your glory and the salvation of the entire world. Through the prayers of all the missionary saints, Have mercy on us and save us. Amen.
