Sharing the Good News in Colombia and throughout the World!

We must “share the True Faith with every person who seeks the Church that preaches God’s love,” proclaims Fr. Rafael Padilla, the priest for a growing Orthodox parish in Cereté, Colombia, where there are over 100 catechumens. 

In 2019, immediately after the very successful first OCMC Mission Team to Colombia had returned, planning began for a 2020 team. Then the COVID-19 pandemic made this dream impossible. At the request of Fr. Rafael, and with the blessings of His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Mexico, planning began for a virtual team to engage the community more fully in the Orthodox Christian faith. 

The first OCMC Virtual Mission Team for Colombia will occur at the end of January, followed by a second team in the middle of February. And, OCMC has been asked by His Eminence to explore future virtual teams to his Metropolis. Despite the challenging times we have encountered over the past year, now, more than ever, the need for missionaries to assist with the vital work of the Church in other countries continues.
