MISSION TEAM OPPORTUNITIES

SENDING DISCIPLES. CHANGING LIVES.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live, serve, and worship alongside Orthodox Christians from another country? Have you ever wanted to make a difference in the world? Orthodox Mission Teams have helped thousands of faithful just like you to teach, minister to youth, build schools and churches, offer healthcare and more. Teams vary in length and are sent throughout the year. Prayerfully consider joining a team.

Below, you will find the current list of available teams, which now includes opportunities from other Orthodox agencies and partners with whom the Mission Center collaborates to advance Christ’s Great Commission. Fall Guatemala Health Care Team

October 16 - 25, 2026
Dentists, doctors, nurses, and Spanish language translators are needed for a mobile medical/dental outreach team in the state of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. This team will diagnose and treat illnesses, dispense medications, and offer spiritual support.

Project Mexico | Summer Homebuilding

May 21 - Aug 12, 2026
The Summer Homebuilding program of Project Mexico and St. Innocent Orphanage offers a transformative experience –– working alongside local communities to construct safe and secure homes for families in need. Homebuilding is an immersive volunteer experience that offers a meaningful way to travel abroad while using your skills to make a difference in communities, from pouring the foundation to the blessing of the home.

Project Mexico | Internships

May 18 - Aug 21, 2026

A summer internship at Project Mexico is a great way to get involved in Missions. Interns gain cultural awareness by living and working in a different country and they make a lasting contribution of service to others by playing an integral role in the operation of the summer program. Interns live on the orphanage property and must be 18+ and willing to commit from six months to 3 years. Applications due Dec 31st. Spanish speakers needed.

Montana Blackfeet Outreach

July 11-17, 2026
The home base for this YOCAMA Blackfeet trip will be Browning, Montana. Team members will work on the following projects: Repair and paint classrooms and teacher housing at the De La Salle Blackfeet School. Serve breakfast and dinner to the members of the Blackfeet community. Participate in home improvement projects.  Work at the local food pantry and clothing distribution center in Heart Butte, MT.

New Mexico Outreach

July 18-24, 2026
The home base for this YOCAMA Navajo trip will be Gallup (Zuni), New Mexico. YOCAMA’s work is guided by the needs of the children and families who have limited access to medical and social services. Local Native American leaders determine which projects will benefit their community. Projects include Health Fairs in areas where medical clinics aren’t available, home construction projects, food and firewood deliveries, and work at the local food pantry.
