Cultivating a mission mindset is an essential aspect of spiritual growth and community engagement within the Church. This process starts with education, helping individuals and groups understand the importance of sharing God’s love and message of salvation. The Assembly of Canonical Bishops in the United States has designated the last Sunday before Great Lent as Mission Sunday. In 2026, Mission Sunday will be observed on February 22. To support this focus, the 2026 Mission Sunday lesson plans and Coin Boxes are available as resources. These materials are designed for use by individuals, parishes, youth groups, and educators. They provide guidance and practical ways to explore, understand, and support the Church’s mission efforts.
